My Style
My approach is collaborative. You are the expert on your life. I am here to provide a compassionate and non-judgmental perspective on what has shaped you and how you want your life to change in the future. We will work together to establish a trusting and mutual relationship, which I see as the most important vehicle for change. I believe in honest conversations about how culture, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ability status, and socio-economic circumstances shape our worldview and life experiences. I look forward to exploring these aspects of identity with you.
My Specialities / Area of Focus
Many of my clients are working through the effects of anxiety and depression. Additionally, my work focuses on clients who have histories of relational trauma as well as clients navigating the emotional impacts of pregnancy and the postpartum period.
What I Want You To Know About Therapy
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship can change lives.
Professional Background
I graduated from The University of Michigan with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish in 2001. I completed my graduate degree at The University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration in 2003. After earning my Master's degree, I completed a 1-year post-graduate internship at the University of California Berkeley Student Health Center. In 2014, I completed a 2-year post-graduate fellowship at Womencare Counseling Center. I continue to participate in individual and group consultation in the areas of relational trauma and perinatal mental health because I strongly believe that learning should never end.
